People who constantly romanticize brokenness must not know what it is like to be truly broken. They must not know what it is to be lonely surrounded by people whose claims of care fall aimlessly to the ground on which they walk. Must not know the pain of loving without being loved. Must not understand the senselessness of holding onto something that does more harm than good. They must not know what it is like to be living without the appetite for life. Must not understand the solidarity of a life lived without being loved. They simply do not understand that broken people are not beautifully broken but beautiful despite their broken. You see this is not an owd to the broken but an appreciation for the tragedy of romanticism because in all our faults they see beauty but because of those faults they find so beautiful we do not believe we are so.
