Fahrenheit 451 was written by Ray Bradbury,published by Ballebtine books in 1953. This science-fiction, dystopian book was inspired by all the knowledge Ray gained during ww2,specifically on hitler and his actions towards books. Hitler burnt many books and libraries; this and Ray's fear that t.v would be the death of books creating a controlled and ignorant world in the twenty fourth century. Propaganda clouded peoples true opinions and feelings, leaving people as mindless but 'happy' shells without them knowing
