Chapter 8: First Doctor's Appointment

Two weeks after school started back after Christmas break they were sitting at the doctor's office. She was tapping her fingers on the medical exam table and chewing on her lip then the doctor came in.

"Hello I'm Doctor Judy Johnson." Dr Johnson a dirty blonde haired lady came in with a cheery desposition.

"Hi I'm Dallas Bartley and this is my fiancée Bucky Barnes." she said 

"It's very nice to meet you both." Dr Johnson said as she shook their hands. 

"Now let's get started shall we. Last period in October so let's see what we have going on." she said as she sat down Dallas's chart. She checked her breasts then her stomach then she said "Okay lie back for me Dallas." 

Dallas laid down then she helped her put her legs into the stir ups and she did her vaginal exam and said "Okay now let's do our ultrasound we are going to do a vaginal ultrasound and you are going to feel some pressure." 

"Okay.' she said 

Bucky walked over and held her hands and as he bent over the table. He kissed the top of her head and Dr Johnson started the ultrasound wand up inside as she squeezed Bucky's hands and then she said "Here's the heart beat.." 

"BUM BUM BUM BUM" 

"And we have us one baby you look to be about 10 weeks along and due in July." she said as she moved the wand around.

"Okay everything looks good baby looks good heart beat sounds amazing it was 155 and you need to get some prenatal vitamins and read up on everything you can." Dr Johnson said as she filled out her chart. 

"Okay." she said 

"Here are your copies and we will see you back next month." she said and left. 

Dallas got dressed and they made her appointment for next month then headed to grab some lunch then went to school. They finished out their day at school and then went home Bucky dropped her off and then went to met his dad at the auto shop. That night when they got home Bryan came over for dinner and they showed the ultrasounds and told them everything the doctor said.

They still hadn't told their friends but they knew something was up cause they had quit their sports and that was something that they thought they would never do. That weekend they came over to Bucky's house to see them sleeping on the couch and had fallen asleep reading a pregnancy book.

Bucky woke up when he heard someone whispering and he said "Oh hey guys was we suppose to hang out today or something." 

"No we were just wondering what was going on with you two." Steve said

"Clearly we know why now." Nat said as she pointed the book that Dallas had against her stomach still sleeping.

Bucky said "Oh yeah.. we haven't really told anyone but our parents." 

Dallas started to wake up and she said "Oh hey guys." 

They showed them the ultrasounds and explained everything to them.
