Shadow's Change

Chapter 7

Shadow POV

   It's been some minutes since I know that I am... Pregnant... With Sonic in addition to that!.. I don't know what to do...

I'm curl in a ball on the couch with Rouge trying to comfort me... ''Hun... You need to calm down...'' I growl at her. ''Calm down?!... How can I calm down?!... I'm pregnant dammit!..'' She sighs. ''... So... You want to get rid of it?..'' She looked sad when she said that... I can't do that... Right?.. ''... No... I can't do that... It didn't do anythingwrong... I... I'm keeping it...'' Rouge smiles at me, she seems happy with my answer. ''Don't worry, I'll be here to help you, but you need to talk to Sonic about that... He is the father after all...'' I glups... I feel really uneasy about telling him... ''But how?.. And if he don't want to be with me?.. I'm sure he doesn't even remember what's happened...'' She looks at me. ''You will have to tell him that as well...'' I sighs... I hate my life...

   It's been a whole month since Sonic's party... And since I'm pregnant as well... I didn't talk to Sonic... I try to avoid him for now...

''Shadow, did you tell to Sonic?'' She asks me, she looks angry. ''... No...'' She growls a bit. ''Shadow! You know that you have to tell him! You can't wait forever!'' ''I know!.. But I don't know how to tell him...'' She crosses her arms. ''That's it! We are going to Sonic's house now!'' I look at her. ''B-But Rouge...'' She just drags me out of the house. What I'm gonna say to him!?...

   Rouge and I are infront of Sonic's house... I'm really nervous...

Rouge knocked at the door and Sonic openned it. ''Hey Rouge! It's nice-'' Rouge cut him off quickly. ''Shadow have something important to tell you.'' She drags me inside. Sonic looked confused. ''Yeah of course, something wrong?'' Rouge made her way to the couch and put me down next to her, Sonic looked at us really confused. ''So, what do you need to tell me?'' Rouge nudged me and I sighs deeply, looking down. ''... I wanted to talk about the party...'' ''About the party? Something happened?'' Here's goes nothing... ''In fact yes... What do you remember about it?..'' He thinks a bit. ''Well... I remember playing with everyone... talking to you and I think that I have drank a lot...'' Then he looked worriedly at me. ''I have done something bad?..'' I nod slowly. ''You have done something... Yes...'' He looks sad now. ''I'm really sorry for what I have said or done... I can do something to be forgiven?'' After some times of silence... I spoke... ''I don't know... But I need to tell you something first... It's important...'' He looks at me and nods, saying that he is listening. I take a deep exhale... ''At the party... We were talking and drinking... You became pretty drunk after some time... And you... You take me to your bedroom...'' He looks at me with guilt. ''Oh Chaos... I'm so sorry Shad...'' I smile a bit at the nickname... Maybe it can work... ''... But that's not all...'' I see Sonic bite his bottom lip in guilt. I sighs and look at him seriously... ''Sonic... I... I'mpregnant...'' His eyes went wide. I look down and start to tremble... He will let me... I feel Rouge rubs my back behind me... She will be with me if Sonic don't want to... But I want him with me...

   It takes some minutes for Sonic to reply. ''You... You are... Because of me?..'' He looks shocked and scared. I just nod... Too scared to talk... He closed his eyes and I saw a single tear falls on his cheek. ''I'm so sorry Shadow...'' He says in a whisper... I can't see him like that... I wipe away his tear and he looks at me a bit surprised. ''I want you to help me... I... I can't do this alone...'' I look down and hear him sigh. ''I don't know if I'm ready for this... Or if I can be a good father... But I know one thing...'' He puts my face up to look at him. ''I will never leave you alone...'' My eyes start to water and I quickly hug him. ''Thank you so much...'' I say in a whisper and I'm starting to cry... I can't control my emotions anymore... I feel him wrap his arms around me and hugs me in return. I cried on his chest until I fell asleep...

Sonic POV

I hear Shadow snoring on my chest. I smile at him. He is cute like that.

''Thank you Sonic, Shadow was really scared to tell you since the day he discovered it... I'm happy that you will take care of him and help him.'' Rouge says to me with a smile. I smile back at her. ''I promise that I'll try my best to support him.'' Rouge got up from the couch. ''I'll head home, I'll come back later to see how he is, okay?'' I nod. ''Yes of course, I'll put him to bed. He deserves it.'' She grins. ''Yes, see you later big blue.'' ''See ya later Rouge.''

I smile to see Shadow sleeping in my arms, I take him to my room and put him on my bed gently. ''Sleep well, Shad.''

   A new adventure is beginning...
