Tale 6

17 4 2

Frosty lips of blue parted as I press my thumb against the stiff skin.

Crimson flowers burst from her chest watering the crisp snow.

Ebony stains her cheekbones and eyelids.

Her body still as a marble statue.

My steady hands caress her lovely face.

My knuckles bruising with splatters of red.

Quick breaths turn into mist before my eyes.

My heart clenching with held tension.

My dear lover.

My scarlet flower in a world of bruised blues and stained black.

As my vow to you, my lover,

I vow to bring your spirit home,

Across the threshold I promised to carry you across,

After death did us part I will remain with you.

But I am sorry, my lover.

I must do one thing.

I hope you will understand, my beautiful flower...

I won't let him escape.
