Seyi's POV:
It's funny how life throws shit on our faces without notification. It was half past six and we were still waiting for the lawyer and the autopsy result. I found the autopsy idea stupid because it was so obvious that she was stabbed right in the heart. What else did they expect to see?
The police had taken Mr. Fiancée to custody and I wasn't interested in it. I looked around me. We were four in the room --myself, Tee's mother, her trusted friend and her personal assistant. I didn't need to be a mind reader to know what they were thinking, we all were thinking about Tee and the book we found beside her. We were however restricted from reading the book till the lawyer arrived.
Finally, the door opened. A woman in her early thirties walked in looking like she was forced out of bed. She was dressed in a Jean skirt and plain polo shirt. She sighed as she struggled with a pile of documents that sat uncomfortably on her hands.
She glanced at her watch and closed her eyes. Good that she realized how late she was.
She dropped the documents on the center table and managed a smile. "I'm so sorry. I had family issues to sort out and had to bring along some documents," she smiled, "I'm Doyin Akinduro, Omotayo's lawyer."
She sat down and looked at us pitifully. "I'm so sorry for the loss."
Chisom, the P.A nodded. "Yeah, so why did you request that the event planner should be a part of this meeting? Isn't it supposed to be private?"
Her question caught me off guard but Doyin responded. "Few hours to ago, Tee called me and requested that if anything happened and they had to read this book... Seyi must be here."
"Why?" Lola asked.
Mrs Opeyemi shouted. "Is this the time to start talking about who has to be here or not? Madam, please continue."
Doyin smiled and yawned softly. "Like I said earlier, she called few hours ago changing all her plans. She wanted this book published, with or without her."
Doyin took the book that had bloodstains. It was big and heavy, the book looked like it had been carefully preserved for years and I wondered if it had answers to our questions.
Doyin turned to face Mrs Opeyemi. "Please sign these documents," she faced me, "sign here."
My grip on the black cased pen wasn't firm due to my moist hand. The document was about me making sure I don't manipulate the contents of the book. "I've signed."
She nodded and slid the book to my side of the table. "That book contains exclusive details about Tee's private life. You'll find out what to do when you open it," she paused, carefully observing the looks Chisom and Lola shot her, "I don't know what's in the book. It's her will and can't be broken. You have no choice."
Mrs Opeyemi tapped her fingers on the table. "Omotayo... Omotayo..."
Mrs Opeyemi picked up the documents. "The rest of her will can't be read until after Seyi reads the book and does the necessary things," she stood up and smiled, "I'll leave now. I pray her soul rests in peace."

I bolted the lock behind me seconds before I jumped on the bed. I looked up to face the snow white ceilings and wondered why life was full of bad vibes.
Outside our windows awaits so much evil, with no one knowing the real devil. My mind drifted to the few minutes I spent at the hospital when the autopsy results were out.
"Traces of poison were found in her blood stream and they were dated far back as two months ago," Doctor Dare adjusted his glasses, "we're still trying to figure out which type of poison it is but obviously, it has been administered in small quantities that it was almost undetectable..."
It was murder. Someone has been poisoning her since two months ago. The final plan must have been to stab her to death so no one will think of an autopsy...
"I've known her for a long time though I just got to Lagos about two months ago..." Mr Fiancée said during interrogation.
Anger and pity surged through my veins. It had to be him. But why? The few days I've spent planning her event, Tee had proved to be the sweetest client ever. So, why?
I stared at the hard cover intently, my hands were denying me of the strength to open the book.
Why did she choose me to silence her own ghosts? I would never get an answer.
Though it felt weird that I could feel her presence all over, I slowly opened the book.
Hi. I'm Tee. If you're reading this now, it means I have finally found the strength to live in the stigma of publicizing my past or... I have finally given in to the voices in my head.
Either ways, I hope it won't be too late for you to find me in the overwhelming ocean I'm in. I'm drowning...
