I am a piece of fabric

Or "Hijab" as i'm described

Blue Yellow and Purple

In different colors i'm designed

Worn by choice

but not by force

Not something that some may have to endorse

Some may say she's absurd

Some may say she's oppressed

But for her it's a symbol

a symbol of being blessed

She wears me for god

and not for you.

Not if you like me

or if you do

She is a jewel meant to be adored

For her to wear me is like an award.
