I drew from my hand a single leaf from the depths of the pond around me.  I let it fall onto the surface beside me, watching as the water rippled around it in small pools of circles.  My hand returned to my side as I watched it float away.  The moonlight cast down around me and made the water into sweet iridescence, the beautiful colors of the water stained the surface of the water and my own pale skin.   I waded through the small currents and watched a figure from across the pond. They stood beyond a tree that loomed high over them as they watched my slow movements.   I made out the shape of a nightgown and lifted my hand to call out to them.  I motioned to the water and tried to smile at the girl beyond the tree.  She clutched the thick bark of its trunk and picked her way through the berry bushes towards me.  I was instantly taken aback by her beauty as she made her way to the edge of the tarn.  She smiled sweetly as she began to slip her shoulder out from the fabric.   I turned my face away in embarrassment just as she splashed into the water, droplets sprayed my hair and back and I turned to see her disappear.
