I watch in fear as you seep through my fingers like grains of sand. The tighter I grasp at you, the slower you slip away. But my strength gives in and I can't hold out.

I watch as you slip through the cracks. Unable to do anything to get you back.

Frozen in shock, I hear the time click, click, clock.

I have time, I convince myself. Time, time, time. Oh how I wish time could stand still. If even for a moment longer I'd have you still.

But time continues to go. Pulling you away from me just as slow.

I watch as it takes you away. Unable to make you stay.

I'm sorry, my love. I couldn't hold on any longer.

My hands start to shake and little by little the grains start to seep again. Gradually the pace picks up as I hurriedly try to catch them.

One falls, two falls, they all fall.

Oh how I wish time could stand still. For even just a moment I'd have you still. 

A.N. so idk what this is. It's not even good and I kinda wrote it in like 15 minutes. This was not the way I was trying to go with this concept so imma give it another go. But like yeah, I'm sorry about this lol
