Chapter 4

KELSEY'S P.O.V

The next morning I woke up to light shining through the window, the other half of the bed made, and the aroma of pancakes creeping into my slightly ajar bedroom door. Getting up, I quickly made my half of the bed, and walked out into the second area of my apartment, which was the kitchen and living room combined.

I saw Liam at the stove, flipping pancakes. I couldn't help but smile.

"I decided to make you breakfast, it's the least I could do for letting me stay the night." he said as a pancake flew into the air - just missing the ceiling - and landing perfectly back in the pan.

The table was set to perfection. There were 2 matching plates in front of each other, 2 glasses, and a bouquet of flowers in the middle. It was amazing how symmetrical it all was. I sat down and observed Liam's every move. He must've known I was watching him, because he said, "So how long have you been here?"

"I just got here last night; I'm gonna be going to college at Kingston."

Liam was beaming, "So you haven't really explored the city yet, have you?" he said deceivingly.

"Just the coffee shop and boutique down the street. I was gonna go shop around some more today." I hesitated before saying, "Would you like to join me?" I immediately regretted saying it, forgetting he could reject me. He just broke up with his girlfriend for god sakes! I sound like a total player.

I was surprised to hear him say, "Of course! I would much rather spend time with you than go chase Danielle."

I perked up, but then asked, "Well don't you still love her?"

He shook his head, "Naaah. For the past few months she's been getting, how do I put this nicely? Stuck up. She always expects me to be by her side, like I'm on a leash. Everything she wanted, she expected from me. I was pretty much done months ago, but was waiting to see if she'd change." he stopped than said, as if it wasn't obvious. "She didn't change."

I chuckled a bit, "I figured." I grinned and told him, "You should've sang her, I want, I want, I want, but that's crazy! I want, I want, I want, but that's not me! I want, I want, I want, to be loved by youuuuuuuu!" I exaggerated a bit on the, "you."

Liam laughed, "Yeah, I should've." he said as he put the pancakes onto a plate and served them at the table.

The smell filled the air. Scooping a pancake onto my plate, Liam poured us some coffee, which was better than mine, I have to say! I took a bite of the pancake

"Mmmmmm delicious!" I told him. They really were.

"Oh thanks, I learned a great recipe from my parents."

We continued to eat, when Liam asked, "Where'd you get the ring?"

He was pouting to the ring on my middle finger. My heart began to pound, remembering all the memories and meaning behind that ring, that Liam couldn't be told. No one had ever been told.

"Oh, it was my Mom's...."

"It's very nice." he said

Relieved that he bought it, I continued to eat.

We finished our wonderful breakfast, and Liam insisted on cleaning up. While he did, I took a quick shower and went into my closet to find some clothes. I had to look good, because this could technically count as a date. Even if it didn't, I needed to look good for him, since I didn't look too flattering last night. I finally found the perfect flowered tank-dress, with matching sequin sandals. Since London could get cool, I put a short, cute, half-sleeve denim jacket over it.

Straightening my hair, and throwing on a touch of mascara, I walked outside to Liam just finishing cleaning up.

"Oh, you don't have anything to wear, do you?" I'd offer him something, but all my clothes are [obviously] girl clothes.

He smiled, "That's alright, I only wore these for a few hours last night. Do you min if I just was up a bit?"

"Go right ahead!" I kindly told him.

"Thanks Kelsey. I really appreciate everything." He turned to walk towards the bathroom, but asked me one more thing, "Do you mind if I call you, "Kels?"

I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. "Of course you can!" I giggled a bit.

Liam smiled and came out 5 minutes later.

Pretending to be a fancy gentleman, he took my arm, opened the door for me, and we proceeded to walk outside.

What I didn't know then was that this was the start of it all.
