Expecting

Tony has had a hard time looking for a job. It seemed like everytime he would put in an application he would never get a reply. Luckily, his cousin Brennon is a manager at some dairy store in town, and told him to apply there. But Tony is still nervous because he really needs this job. "Do I look decent?" I looked up at Tony and couldn't help but smile. He looked completely different from his usual attire. Instead of a graphic tee, he had on a purple striped button up, he also was wearing a pair of black slacks and had his curly hair up into a slick ponytail. "I do admit I'm very surprised." His shirt was tucked in and he actually had a belt for a change. This was also one of the very rare moments that he was clean shaved.
I was so excited for him, I knew that he was serious about this job. I handed him his I.D. and we headed for the car. His grandpa was waiting for us in the driver's seat. We got in and he complimented Tony on his new look and told him how nice he cleaned up.
When we arrived at the dairy store I could tell that he was nervous but I'm pretty sure that the fact that his cousin was the manager made him calm.
We walked in and were greeted by an employee right away. Brennon saw Tony almost immediately and headed toward us. This was my first time meeting him so we introduced ourselves and shook hands. He seemed to be a very put together  person. He was polite and extremely professional. He told Tony to sit in a chair to fill out his application on the computer. His grandpa and I stood from afar and waited patiently for Tony to get done. I decided to look around for a bit to see where my boyfriend would be working if he were to get the job. The employees seemed decent and the place was very clean and tidy.
About 10 minutes had passed and Tony was finally finished. I watched as he shook Brennon's hand and I saw Brennon hand Tony an employee handbook. We walked up and decided to see how it went. "Soo... How'd it go?" I could tell by his grin that he was pretty confident that he had gotten the job. "Well, he said he will contact me with my schedule within the next two weeks." I couldn't help but get excited for him because I knew how much this had meant for him. I hugged him so tight I'm sure he couldn't breathe.
We got some ice cream before we left to celebrate his new job. I could tell that this was going to be a good start for us if we were going to have a baby.  It showed me how much Tony really cared about us.
We headed home, after what felt like forever, and decided to relax for the rest of the day. It was funny because as fast as it took him to clean up, it was even faster for him to look like his old self again. He were laying on the bed watching American Horror Story and not even half way through our episode we both dozed off for the night.
