I'm no longer afraid,

I'm no longer nervous.

I'm coming out of my shell

and becoming the confident person

I should be.

I say good-bye to my past

and hello to my present,

not thinking about my future

because it's far off.

You helped make me

who I am,

so now here I go.

I take my first steps as the new me,

the me I was always supposed to be.
