4: You..

(Taehyung's P.O.V.)

I was in my room wearing tuxedo as dad asked for when a maid suddenly knocked on my door

"What is it?" I asked

"Your father is expecting you downstairs.." She shyly said. I just nodded and she left

I sighed. I took one last glance at the mirror before going downstairs. I saw Dad there sitting at the leather couch while drinking a cup of tea

He put his cup down when he saw me and I sat at the in front of him

"As you know, the girl you are going to marry is here. She's just at the bathroom, probably crying" Dad said on a serious tone

"Do I look like I care?" I mumbled as I rolled my eyes, but somehow he heard it

"You have to care, she's the only girl that accepted the agreement!" My dad said sternly

"How did you even get her into this?"

"Simple, I lied to her about her Dad having a brain cancer that cost a surgery of 10,500,000 won" He said with a smirk

This jerk, he's no better than I am. He keeps tricking people to get what he want. What an a$$hole

"Oh there she is!" He exclaimed as she looked behind me

I sighed. This is it. I just hoped the girl I was gonna marry have looks or something. I can hear her footsteps getting nearer

She stood by my father's side. I looked at her and my eyes immediately widened

"Meet my son.." Dad said as he pertains to me and she averted her eyes looking to me

I can see them widened in shock. I'm just shock as her

"Kim Taehyung..." She mumbled my name still looking at me

"Oh! I guess you already know each other. Are you perhaps his ex?" Dad asked. Aish this old man!

"A-ani. W-we just... W-we're..." I heard her stuttered out

"We're just schoolmates, that's it" I speak for her. I know she's nervous about all of this, especially now that she knew I'm the one she's gonna marry

We stood there awkwardly quiet. I looked at Seo-yoon who was looking down at her feet. I can see she's feeling uncomfortable

I grabbed her arm and she instantly looked at me, "Come with me.." I said as I pulled her outside 

I pulled her to the garden where no one could here us. I let go of her arm once we got there. She stayed quiet while I looked at her

"Why..?" I asked and she looked up at me. Confusion was spread all over her face

"Why did you agree to do this?"

"I had no other choice. It was the only way to save my dad.." She replied on a low tone as she avoid eye contact

I sighed, "You didn't have to do this if you don't want to"

"But I need to.."

"I'll pay for your dad's hospital bill!" I blurted out and she flinched. Is she afraid of me?

"Just... Just don't make decisions you'll soon regret" I added

We went back to the living room. We both sat down in front of Dad. There was two paper on the coffee table. One for me, and one for Seo-yoon

"That's the contract you need to sign and then we can proceed to the wedding which will be held next week" My dad explained

"Next week? But that's so soon! Can't it wait 'til the semester's over?" Seo-yoon asked

"I'm sorry, dear. But the sooner the better. Besides, you still get to finish school before you could start doing your 'business'.." Dad said as she smirked at her

I can see Seo-yoon looking down at the contract that needs to be signed. I already signed it last night since my Mom wouldn't leave me until I signed it. She kept bugging me last night that's why I hardly slept

She sighed before taking the pen from the coffee table and signing it. Well, I guess there's no turning back now

My Dad smiled happily before taking both the contract from me and Seo-yoon

"Great! I'll call for the both of you at Saturday for the weddings photos that needs to be shoot" My dad said happily

"Do we really have to take pictures? It's not even a real wedding.." I said

My Dad glared at me, "Yes. We need those picture so that we have evidence to the public that you've changed" My dad said sternly. I just rolled my eyes at him

"Well then, I'll see you again at Saturday. If you don't have anymore questions. You may go" Dad said as he stood up and took the paper with him in his office

I hear Seo-yoon sighed before standing up about to leave

"Hey, uhh.. I-I... I'll walk you home" I said. She just smiled, but a sad one before nodding

We walked in silence to her house. She would often sigh every now and then. I kept thinking of something to say to her but I don't know where to start

(Seo-yoon's P.O.V.)

"Hey, uhh.. You... Y-you look nice today" I looked at Taehyung who was scratching the back of his neck in a cute shy way without looking at me

"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself.." I replied and smiled. He looked back at me for a moment before breaking eye contact

"So.. Ummm.. Do... Do you live alone?" He asked again

"Well, I live with my dad, but now that he's staying at the hospital for quite awhile, then I guess, yes" I replied. He simply nodded his head

"But, seriously though, you looked great today" I glanced over at him and giggled

"You know, you don't have to make a lie to make me happy. I'd rather like it you if you be genuine" I said

He just smiled. It's barely visible since it's dark but I could still see it. After a few more steps, we arrived at my house

"Well, we're here. Thanks for walking me home, by the way. I really appreciate it" I said

"Don't take it into another way, I just walk you home since it's dangerous now that's it's dark. It's not like I care for you or anything.." He said being back to his usual self

"So you don't care for me at all?" I asked while smiling

"Nope. Not even a little bit" He replied while shaking his head from side to side

I laughed, "If you say so..."

I turned around to open the door, I was about to get in when he called me

"Yah! Choi Seo-yoon!" I looked back at him

"Ne?(yes?)" He walked closer to me and stood really close to me. I had to look up to him since he's quite tall

Everything happened so fast. I can feel my heart beating fast when I realized he was hugging me

"Be careful, okay..?" He whispered. He pulled away before I could even hug him back. He dashed off to went home

I stood there. Still wondering why he hugged me. I smiled to myself

"And there he said he didn't care for me.. Aish! That guy and his manly ego" I went inside the house with a smile on my face
