She spreads her wings
as far as she can. All she
can do is look up at the sky.
Her ankle is no longer chained
to the floor.
She levitates.
Her wisdom and strength
set her free, and now, she is
weightless. She looks down at the
people who have wronged her.
They are now small and worthless.
Their words, however, are not.
Although she is elevated, they still reach her.Her wings are shattered.
She is falling.
She is gone.
