Hanahaki Disease - a fictional disease born of unrequited love in which the patient's lungs and throat fill with flowers.

The patient will throw and cough up the petals and sometimes whole flowers to clear the blockage and allow them to breathe.

It ends when the beloved returns their feelings or when the victim suffocates. It can sometimes be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear, and additional complications such as memory loss, and an inability to ever love again can occur.
