Chapter 17: A Near Death Experience Tony's POV

Sir, her pulse is slowing dangerously fast, Jervis told me.

"No, no, no, no, no!" I said. I landed in a parking lot and checked her pulse. She had none, she had died. I started to cry. I couldn't lose her, not right when I got her back.

"JARVIS set my suit blasters on the level that they set the paddles to resistant people," I told JARVIS.

Sir that probably won't work.

"I know! Just do it!" I yelled. My throat went dry. I know by the time we would get to the hellicarrier, it would be too late. I pressed my hands against her chest until I felt the spark. I felt her pulse again, nothing. It had been a minute since she died.

"Again!" I said and keep putting my hands against her nonbeating heart. I did it two more times and nothing. It had now been two minutes.

Sir, it's no use.

"One more time," I said. I prayed and pressed my hands against her chest and shocked. She took a deep breath but didn't open her eyes. Her pulse came back. I picked her up again and made my way to the hellicarrier. I landed on the landing pad and screamed for help. Everyone rushed over to see what was wrong. They took Emily to the hellicarrier's ER.

"What happened?" Fury asked.

"Mandarin," I told him. I saw that Emily breathing was starting to slow, but that was all I saw of her. I saw Neil freaking out next. He is the only person who cared about her as much as me, or even more.

*__________Neil's POV________*

"Emily!" I screamed. They wouldn't let me see her. I never thought I would ever see her hurt. What if she died? I mean I love her and I just had enough courage to tell her. I saw Tony who looked as worried as I was. They finished what ever they did to Emily. I only heard a bunch of scientific mumbo jumbo. What, I'm good with reading not science. She was breathing barely. I heard the doctor say,

"She will either die or go into a coma." No! I thought. I saw an x-ray. That Mandarin guy basically ignited a fire inside her and she had been cooked from the inside out. Next time I see that Mandarin, he would have wished he was never born.

"Emily, don't go," I whispered when we were alone. "You can't go; you have so many people who love you." I kissed her and I thought I saw her smirk. Then Tony walked in and we both stayed there. We wouldn't move.

Hi people don't shot me. She did die for two minutes. HAHAHAHA! Don't you just hate me now.
