Chapter 78

Since GuQingPei couldn't fend off WangJin, he could only watch as he stayed next-door.

When WangJin returned to his room to pick up his luggage and changed his clothes, GuQingPei saw the roses on the table and was tempted to laugh.

What is he treating me as? To actually give me flowers? YuanYang would never do something so impractically meaningless. Instead, he will just cook him a hot meal.

GuQingPei's expression slightly changed when he thought of YuanYang. He rigorously toweled dry his hair, hoping to wipe out the image from his mind. After blow-drying his hair, he changed his clothes. He definitely expected WangJin to come find him later.

Sure enough, at three in the afternoon, WangJin knocked on his door to take him out for dinner. WangJin smiled, "I figured you'd be too lazy to go anywhere on your own. I've rented a car and hired a local driver. It's still early. Let's explore around the island and then find a good restaurant to eat. Are you okay with this arrangement?"

GuQingPei lightly smiled, "Whatever Wang Ge decides is fine."

The two men got into the car. The driver took them to meander around the bustling lively beach and strolled around the pedestrian streets. WangJin's expression changed from his usual business-like calmness and seriousness to one that is full of smiles as he cheerfully chatted with the driver.

When they got to the pedestrian street, whatever he saw that was new and exciting, he would talk it over with GuQingPei.

GuQingPei responded, "Wang Ge must have not gone out to play for a long time."

WangJin sighed, "Yeah, I came to Saipan once for a meeting but didn't even have time for a swim before I had to hurry back. I've been to many places these years, but no time to really calm down to have a good rest and enjoy. Actually, lack of time is not the main reason; it's mainly because there are no suitable people to accompany me. Do you understand that kind of feeling? Seeing such breathtaking beautiful scenery, yet there is no one next to you to share it with. It's very lonely. If it was just a person alone, even in the most beautiful of places, it's dull and boring." WangJin gave him a sentimental look, "So, as far as I'm concerned, right now is a real vacation for me because you are with me."

GuQingPei faintly smiled but did not respond.

WangJin squinted his eyes to look at the sun, smiling very comfortably.

When the driver came, he kept holding WangJin's camera to help them take pictures. GuQingPei didn't care too much about it, but it was WangJin who was very eager as he put his arms around his shoulders to snap several pictures.

The two men wander around the pedestrian streets. There are many things that are suitable to be brought back as gifts, but both people had nothing they needed to buy. Getting to the end of the street, the driver drove over to take them to dinner.

They pulled into a restaurant that is by the sea with excellent scenery. Because it was still early, there weren't too many people. The two sat at the window and chatted. They do have many things in common and chatted incessantly about things like the colonial history of Saipan, the American economy and then about the domestic investment situation, exchanging a lot of beneficial information.

WangJin is a very knowledgeable person with excellent eloquence. The two people spoke with special resonance. GuQingPei especially liked to chat with WangJin. Not that he is conceited, but most of the people he came in contact with, he can't really communicate to them.

Moreover, WangJin didn't mention anything about his photos nor did he mention his departure from YuanLiJiang's company. For merely this point alone, he was thankful. Even though he wouldn't respond even if WangJin asked, he didn't want anyone to mention it.
