When I opened my eyes, I was lying on my couch that also doubled as my bed. Moaning, I rolled on my side and saw Alastor sitting in the chair opposite the couch, reading Memoirs of a Geisha. All of a sudden, the car ride and bushes came rushing back in my mind.
"Fffuuuckkkk..." I swore, curling up in a ball. For once, could I manage not to make a complete ass of myself?
"How are you feeling, my dear?" Alastor asked, setting his book aside. I groaned in response, making him smile.
"I'm so sorry, Alastor." I said, peeking at him from between my fingers. Chuckling, he got up and came over to the couch.
Taking my hand, he helped me sit up, saying, "Nothing to be sorry about. I should be the one apologizing. Sake is strong, I should have warned you." I smiled softly, feeling slightly better.
"I shouldn't have drank so much." I said, giggling. I couldn't believe this guy hadn't gone running to the hills when I threw up in the bushes.
"Why don't you go take a shower, and I'll order us some coffee." Alastor offered.
Nodding, I replied, "Sounds good."
Leaning over, Alastor kissed my forehead and asked, "What kind of coffee do you like?"
"Anything sweet," I answered, blushing as I stood up. I went into my bathroom and locked the door behind me. Leaning against it, I smiled like an idiot. If this mess of a date didn't send Alastor running away, then obviously he was something very special.
