The night you met Gerard was memorable. The night the handsome devil whisked you off your feet, and you joined his little band of misfits.

No one expected royalty to join a band of anarchists, therefore they went with the assumption that you were kidnapped.

You, a young princess, who was raised wearing flowing dresses and sparkly jewelry, bound to marry some random dude to claim the throne, were now wearing ripped up clothes and leather jackets, and were hopelessly in love with the Rebel boy who'd opened your eyes to the poverty of the kingdom.

The night you had met was the night of your older sisters 20th birthday. She was betrothed to some asshat who was obsessed with himself. Your sister was calmly standing next to the main throne where your father sat, giving out friendly smiles, and 'thank you's' to the people who wished her happy birthday.

You stood on the other side, hands clasped together neatly in front of you. Your eyes scanned the crowd of bright colored, puffy, and quite ugly dresses accompanied by balled men in suits. Everyone was quite old, however one certain boy caught your eyes.

He was standing in the corner, eyes trained on you. You were weary at first of his possibly evil intentions, however his attractiveness threw you for a loop. He looked like an angel. His light skin seemed to glow in the lighting, his longer jet black locks framing his bright hazel eyes perfectly. He wore a neat black suit, and it made him look impossibly handsome.

He took notice of you staring at him, and gave you a smirk and a wink, making you flush and look down. Shuffling your feet, you looked back up to see his eyes were still on you, and that smirk was still gracing his beautiful face. He tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow at you, and your blush got more intense.

"(Y/n)." Your mother snapped from beside you, snapping you out of your boy-induced trance.

"Oh! Y-yes?" You stammered, getting your grip on reality back.

"You look flushed, and you're slouching. Pull yourself together." She scolded.

"Oh uh, I'm not feeling very great. May I be excused?" You twiddled your thumbs and your mother rolled her eyes.

"Fine."

"Thank you, mother." You quickly ran off, your gown your parents forced you to wear trailing behind you. You casted a glance at the mystery boy, hoping he'd follow you. His smirk grew and he sauntered after you.

You lead him to the pond in the garden. It was your favorite place to be. The sound of the trickling water always put you at ease.

"Running away from the party to meet with some guy you don't know, princess?" A smooth voice sounded behind you, startling you. You whipped around to be met with the face of the handsome stranger. He raised his eyebrow and smirked again. "Very dangerous, your highness." He took a few steps forward.

Your eyes widened in embarrassment. "Oh-I-I um, I just uh, needed to get out of there, and um, get some air."

He looked amused at your inability to speak correctly. "So you implied with your eyes that you wanted a stranger to follow you?"

"Um, well, I wanted to know why you were looking at me." You swallowed hard.

He licked his lips and smiled. "Flustered, princess?"

Your eyebrows shot up and your cheeks flushed. "No! No no, you just seemed so, um-"

"Don't worry, your body is not the target of my interest." He took more steps forward, striding casually towards you until he was towering over you. "Your kind disposition is much more of an attraction. As a matter of fact," his hand trailed up your arm leaving goosebumps behind, and leaning in next to your ear, "that's the reason the reason I came tonight."
