"You know you weren't supposed to say anything." Inge grumbled into Charles's chest as they lay on the couch, some italian soap-opera playing soundlessly in the background. Inge was still mad at him, still hurt that he would push her away like he did, but she came back for him and he knew that she always would. It angered her that he had such a hold on her. It hurt her that he would use it against her. Charles drew her closer into his chest, his lips ghosting over her hair, he was afraid to let her go, afraid that he won't get her back if she went again. "I'm sorry I hurt you love, I'm sorry I threw you to the side. I won't do it again, ever. I promise." His words were whispered into her skin, goosebumps rising as each word vibrated against her.
