A Kiss In Failure

Quan Chi saw scorpions hell portal open into his fortress
Seeing Scorpion pop out covered with blood and rips Quan Chi asked
"Is the deed done?"
with eyes dead on the demon

"No I have failed."
Scorpion responded in disappointment

"You have failed me Scorpion, I had faith in your skills"

"I will finish my mission, Mileena will know my rage!"
The fire demon responded with fire blazing from his eyes and arms.

"Very well Scorpion finish your task."

With that said Quan Chi left scorpion to his own allowing him time to heal in the neather realm before heading back to find Mileena.

(Mileena POV)
Making it back to the Tarkatan war camp Mileena found her tent already up with her stuff inside it
Meeting with Rain she was able to speak as empress once more.
"Rain you impress me with your respect for your empress."

"I serve the real empress of outworld."
Rain responded

"Good."
Mileena responded with a moan.

"Did you find Kano as I instructed?"

"Yes empress he is in your tent as we speak."

"Excellent."
Mileena responded before walking to her tent and going inside to see a man with a robotic eye and heart.
"So do you have it?"

"Of course I do"
Kano said offended at her asking

Reaching into his pocket Kano pulled out a large gold amulet with a green gem in the middle.

"Excellent, here's your pay as promised."
Mileena said handing Kano a large bag of gold and jewels.

"Then our business is done for now, I'll be on my way"

(Scorpion POV)
Scorpion took his mask off revealing a firey skull underneath
He began thinking of his clan, his wife....his son
Holding his skull in his hands he felt his rage build
He still missed them to this day even though he was nothing more then a hell spawn revanent of his former self then he got to the part that hurt the most
Sub zero freezing his wife and son in place and ripping his head off and showing him his worst fears
His agony quickly turned to anger then rage

(NOOOOO!!!)
The demon screamed as the flames burned all around him his fists tightened around his mask
He began punching the rock wall next to him over and over breaking and cracking the wall.
After the demon had calmed down he put his mask back on and walked away opening another portal
In hopes of finding Mileena.
He needed something to hit, and she was it for now.

"The false child will die."
The demon said as he walked into the portal

(Mileena POV)
Mileena couldn't help but think about all those who betrayed her it burned in her mind the pain she felt
Her mind raced but swept to the fire demon that was chasing her now.
Looking at him... he screams of pain without even speaking.
She wanted to be the one to calm him to help home heal but it seemed near impossible to sway him.

Just then a portal was heard opening in the distance and Tarkatans were flying in the air some lit a flame
As they flew mileena's eyes grew wide in excitement
"He's here!"
She said allowed grabbin her mask and putting it on running towards the battle.
She made it to see scorpion surrounded by Tarkatans
As he attacked each one slicing some in two with his swords or stabbing them through the chest with his spear.
His white eyes met Mileena's orange slits
But he had no time to attack her and sliced a tarkatan in two
"MILEENA!!!"
He screamed loudly shocking the ex empress
With the raw power of his voice.
He seemed furious but Mileena had no idea why.
Just then Rain came in stabbing scorpions shoulder with his blade
Scorpion collapsed from exhaustion having killed 26 Tarkatans and still suffering his wounds from earlier
He looked up at Mileena and was about to be executed by Rain who lifted his blades in the air about to bring them on scorpions neck.

"Stop!"
Mileena commanded through her empress voice.
Rain looked confused at his empress.

"Bind him. He would make a great ally."
She said with a seductive tone

"Scorpions eyes squinted at Mileena then two Tarkatans came behind him and tied his arms to a wooden post.
they then did a blood ritual to make sure he could not teleport away.

Mileena then told Rain to leave her to talk to her prisoner.

"What are you planing Mileena?"
Scorpion asked angrily.

Mileena bent down getting into scorpions personal space she placed a hand on his face and smiled under her mask.

"I only want your loyalty Scorpion."
She said seductively

"You will get none of it."
Just then scorpion burned through the ropes holding him and ran at Mileena tackling her

"He's so strong!"
She thought to herself
Then scorpion pulled out his spear just before he could use it on her
Mileena woke up in a cold sweat.

"Strange... I haven't dreamt of Scorpion in over 2 decades."
She said allowed getting up from her bed in the tarkatan war camp she was holding shinnoks amulet and looking down at her hand.

"I wonder what Hanzo is doing right now?"

(Ermac POV)
The phantom was floating lightly above the ground
Turning to face Kotal Kahn
"My lord would you like us to continue searching for Mileena?"

Kotal Kahn turned to face Ermac.
"No the child will come to us on her own. Sooner or later."

With that said Kotal kahn walked off into his bed chambers where he would take off his war paint and helmet.

Ermac faced the window seeing all of outworlds residents walking through the market and streets.
