I'm Going Back to the Start

Chapter 1

"..congratulations my love," buong paghanga ang mga nasa mata ni Reena habang surpresang binisita sa new office neto ang long time boyfriend na si Terrence. May dala-dala siyang paborito netong blue-berry cheesecake. Masayang masaya na malaman na naappoint sa bagong position bilang bagong head ng HR department.

"..love, what are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here, don't you have work?" Wala sa loob na nasabi naman ni Terrence sa kasintahan. Nagmamanage ng sariling negosyo ang kanyang kasintahan since ito lang ang maaasahan ng magulang simula ng mag migrate ang mga ito sa States.  Siya ang naiwan para mamahala ng Resort sa Tanauan.

"..aren't you supposed to be happy that i'm here? I came all the way from Batangas para batiin ka,"alam niyang hindi nagustuhan neto ang pagdalaw niya at hindi man lang siya tapunan ng tingin ng lalaki. Tutok sa monitor ang mga mata neto.

"..sorry, love. I really need to finish this report, ayokong mag-isip ang mga boss ko that i don't deserve this spot.."seryoso ito sa kanyang ginagawa. Sinulyapan niya lang ang kasintahang matamlay na nakaupo sa sofa sa loob ng kanyang opisina. He knew disappointed ito sa kanyang reaksyon, but seriously? It is an office hours and he is not supposed to accept visitors.

"..i knew it.." sa loob na lang ni Reena. Ipinagpapalagay niya na lang na ang ginagawa ng kasintahan ay para sa future nila. Na lahat ng busy days neto ay para sa kanilang mga pangarap. Naalala pa niya nuon ang mga pangakong binitiwan nila para sa isa't isa. Kung paanu sila nagsimula.

High School days.

Muse ng kanilang section si Reena, o RJ sa mga kakilala at malalapit na kaibigan. They are on their junior level at lahat ay masaya at excited sa araw na yun. Kasali siya sa Intrams King and Queen at ito ang inaabangan ng lahat, hindi lang tagisan ng kagandahan at kagwapuhan, tagisan din ito ng talento at talino.

She stepped out into the stage with glamore and poised. Heads up, with grace and sophistication. Everyone clpped their hands with so much appreciation of her beauty. Girls envy her, boys adored her. And with on the talent portion, she sang with a perfect pitch that adds her points to rule the contest. She also deliver the question with witt and effortlessly answered the question that goes "..what will you choose? Heart or brain for love and why?"

"..goodevening ladies and gentlemen, honored guests, judges and friends, if i will be choosing what to use for loving someone, that will be my heart, my brain can forget everything about love, stops when tired, but not my heart that will continue to beat for the one i will give my whole. My heart will always remember everything about that person even if i close my eyes, thank you everyone and enjoy the rest of your night!" And everybody is shouting her name. And just as before he step out of the stage she saw this young man smiling at her near the stage. Her heart skips a beat when she saw him waved at her. Until the program was over and she was reigned as the Intrams Queen she can't forget that smile.

"..ahhmmmm congratulations, Miss Intrams.." that makes her turn around to check kung sino ang nagsasalita. The same feeling she had earlier when she saw the same smile.

"..yeah, ahhhh, thank you.."tipid na ngiti ang sinukli niya sa kausap. Hindi maapuhap ang mga salitang nais na kumawala sa kanyang bibig. Hindi alam kung anu ang gagawin sa mga oras na yun.

"..i'm Teejay by the way, from 4th year star section,"buong kumpyansa na inilahad ng binata ang kamay sa kanya. Tinanggap naman ng dalaga ang nakalahad na mga palad. Medyo nahihiya pa ito.

"..i'm Rjay, 3rd year, i'm not in the star section though on the second," nahihiya siya tingin ng lalaki.

"..yeah i know, Reena, i like to call yoy that way, i hope you don't mind.."nag aalangan namang sagot ni Teejay.
