Ginny made her way nervously up to the third year dorms. She only hoped Hermione was there.
She knocked on the door, and thankfully, Hermione answered it.
"Ginny!" Hermione exclaimed, surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"Er- Can I talk to you?" Ginny asked. Hermione nodded and let her into the empty dormitory. They sat down on the bed, and Ginny bit her lip nervously.
"You know that thing that happens around this stage of life?" Ginny asked. "Well, it happened this morning."
Hermione's eyes widened. "Oh, yeah. Why are you telling me this?"
"You know my mum, she would just freak out and I'm certainly not going to tell my brothers."
Hermione snorted. "If they're all like Ron, I can see why."
The two of them disolved into giggles.
And that's the start of Hermione and Ginny's friendship.
