Dear Diary,
It's been a day.
And mommy still isn't home.
The guy in the basement is still there.
He's quiet.
He's sad.
And I also am sad.
Mommy still isn't home.
I missed her.
And I went to the basement to see the man.
He chuckled when he saw me.
But I wasn't scared.
I wanted to ask him why he was here.
But I'm too afraid that mommy will see me.
So I went back outside and looked for food.
