I woke up to my mum yelling at me from my room door. "(y/n)!, get ready and take out the bins, it's your turn today-and for goodness sake, take a shower, we're going to a family dinner soon!". I grumbled, wiping my eyes. I washed my face and teeth, feeling dead. I then took a warm shower (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), making sure to also clean my tail and ears before retracting them. After that I got dressed into a white shirt and tie, paired with, you guessed it!, white trousers and shoes.

After taking out the trash and cleaning up my pet guinea pig's cage, my mum told me that the taxi was at the door. I slid downstairs and yeet skeeted into the taxi. My mum soon followed behind, sitting in the front. The drive to the restaurant was just my mum making small talk with the driver, the only thing she said to me was that she had a surprise for me. I sighed and started to drift off into the land of sleep. Well, I was about to, when my mum shook me awake. I shot up, forgetting about my seat belt and was surprised when I got so high up then stopped. I soon realized and unbuckled myself then got out, patting down my shirt awkwardly. My mum thanked the taxi driver and paid with cash.

The dinner was going fine (if you don't count the awkwardness of seeing my small family) until my mum made an announcement "So, I know our family hasn't been that famous so far, apart from Sam's (your younger cousin)martial arts show a few years back- BUT!, I have a surprise for (y/n), so, (y/n)..." she hesitated to make the air full of tension, everyone in my family of five was staring at me. "YOU'RE GETTING AN AUDITION AT B*G H*T!"................. What!? It took me a moment to process what had just happened. "E-excuse me!?" I said, shook and dumbfounded. "oh come on! We all know you have talent in singing! Oh also, auntie told me about it and it turns out the auditions are in a month, the group's going to be called 'My Heart Your Ears' and all members but one have been chosen, I think you should do it!"my older cousin by two years chimed in.
