•TEDDY BEARS AND RAINBOWS•
Monday, October 18th, 2010 . . . 2:54 P.M.
At the moment, the cafeteria at Hopkins occupied only a handful of people. All of them were spread out, scattered throughout the vast room—encapsulated in their own little space of conversation, or silence if they preferred it that way.
Some conversed with the company sat beside them while a few others sat solely with either their phone or a printed magazine in front of them to occupy the time.
It wasn't a surprise that the majority of the room's inhabitants were either Doctors, nurses, or other Hospital staff. The vast array of scrubs and lab coats was a bit overwhelming compared to the lax wardrobe of the few visitors who sat picking at the tray of food in front of them while they chatted with the opposite person in their company.
As for Genevieve and Mark, they added to the array of blue. The two sat beside one another, feeling content as they talked about whatever topic of conversation surfaced. A small grin graced both of their faces and remained, unwavering as they spoke with each other.
After meeting with the patient and their parents, and after Genevieve took Mark on a short tour, showing him around the most interesting corners of the Hospital, the two were finally able to sit down.
