A Flower, A Sunflower

Once she grew half
in pure and beauty
almost done to bloom in her unique way
they cooled her with poison
ready to die
lose the sweet sunshine
her bright light
her precious self.

She was drowning
she was falling
she was dying
in their chaos which then it was hers, only.

Out of blue
in her last breath
a whisper through the gentle wind
caressed her last, rotten petal
instead of losing
it awakened.

Little did they know
sun never dies
without its time
and she was
still is
will be
forever
a flower, a sunflower
with dangerous thorns
strong petals
movements full of life
and
wild, thirsty soul
til her last dance in the depth of earth
in the warm sunshines
in the gentle, mysterious breeze
til her soul put out its fire.

-Her fire will never, though. She only blooms in sparkles.
