The next morning, the gang woke up and came outside to find Beethoven working with Freddie on fixing the Mystery Machine.

Beethoven and Scooby Doo were really starting to become great friends.

They were about to ask how the progress on the van was going until they were interrupted, seeing a blonde sheriff in action nearby. Freddie soon explained to the gang that was Sheriff Julie Dempsey, the only female sheriff in town. In fact, she was the best in town, considering she learned everything from her dad who was a wrestler, "The Equalizer", in which Freddie was a fan of.

Sarah then came out.

"Hey, Sarah" Daphne greeted the twelve-year-old first.

"What's going on?" Velma then asked Sarah.

"You got any plans today?" Fred added curiously.

"Me and Beethoven were going to go check out some stores nearby" Sarah explained.

"Can I come?" Kali asked.

"Sure" Sarah smiled to her friend.

"Like, us too?" Shaggy asked.

"Reah!" Scooby nodded eagerly, wanting to come along.

"Okay" Sarah agreed, not minding the extra company.

"Oh boy" the rest of the Mystery Inc gang sighed, knowing the trouble Shaggy and Scooby could get into in an unfamiliar place.

"Well, have fun" Freddie told his niece. "And behave yourself"

"We will" Sarah said, then called to her dog. "Come on, Beethoven"

"Lets go, guys" Kali said to her uncle figure and the great dane as they started walking off.

"Come on, Scoob" Shaggy called to his dog as they followed the girls with Beethoven.

The five of them soon came into town and started looking around at all the local stores.

"Come on guys, let's check this place out" Sarah told the others. "It looks friendly"

"Sure does" Kali smiled in agreement.

They entered the shop, finding a red-haired lady with a white female Pomeranian at the front desk.

The female Pomeranian started barking at Scooby and Beethoven and they barked back at her.

"Get those Big Foots out of here!" the red-haired lady demanded, referring to Scooby and Beethoven.

"We're sorry" Sarah apologized, leading Beethoven back outside. "Come on, boy. Come on"

"Come on, Scooby" Kali coaxed, gently pulling the great dane by his collar to bring him back outside the store with Beethoven.

"Oh, did those big elephants scare you, Babycakes?" the red-haired lady cooed to her female Pomeranian.

"You boys stay out here, okay? We won't be long" Sarah and Kali told the two dogs before heading back inside.

"Like, I'll go and get us some food, old bud" Shaggy told Scooby, seeing a diner across the street and headed over towards it.

The girls were looking around the shop while the dogs were bored, waiting outside. That is until Babycakes came up to the window, wanting to see them and the three dogs began barking at each other.

"You know, little girls, this is a local store. And you two aren't local" the red-haired lady, known as Evie Kling said. "What are you doing in Quicksilver?"
