I moved to Featherbrook a few weeks after my father died. He was a great man with a bad life and an incurable disease. We moved from my home in London. Mum said it was a fresh start. Really, she just found a new boyfriend and agreed to move to Melbourne with him, pulling me away from my new friends and a life I was happy with. There's a park across the road and I go there frequently with my dog, Chance. But there's something... something strange about it. I hear whispers when no one is around. Chance keeps running to a bush and trying to go through it. It doesn't make sense. I feel in danger when ever I'm there. Yet I feel at peace. And that's what makes it scary.
