Jo: What is your name/pen-name?

Jay: jay (:

Jo: Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Jay: well, I love creating in any form - whether that's writing, drawing, choreographing a dance, writing my own music, creating new outfit combinations, anything that i can create, i love. im artistic (a Pisces) and I have a very small circle of friends, im quite shy and reserved but im also the most charismatic person you'll ever meet if I'm comfortable with you.. i went out on a limb lmfao. if there's any specifics u want lay em on

Jo: Nah, this is a pretty good sum up. Haha I want make you drop any specifics.

When did you first start writing? How long has it been since you started?

Jay: I first started writing when I was quite young but I wasn't ever serious about it and I hadn't quite found MY authenticity yet- but I'd say it's been about 5 years since I first started dabbling into writing, about 2 years ago was when I got super serious about it.

Jo: What inspired you to write?

Jay: I remember in school math/science, anything other than writing was just not my thing and I never really understood why, but I always enjoyed writing and creating stories and scenarios in my mind. I'd say what really inspired me to write was just reading books on this app particularly, knowing that it was possible to publish an entire book. And reading in general always inspired me

Jo: Omg, I think that is what inspired me and a lot of other people on Wattpad. Just seeing that it was possible to publish any book you want on just this random little app.

But anyways now that you are in the writing scene on Wattpad, what type of books do you write? Why?

Jay: I stay mostly in the realm of romance when I write, I'm a hopeless romantic so that's probably the best explanation I have. But I've got a ton of drafts that are a mixture of teen fiction and chick flicks and Greek mythology and so so so many different genres I'm in love with writing. I love it all, I love writing as a whole

Jo: That's great! I'm sure all the stories are just a s good are even better than the series you have. (Which I love btw, lol, had to throw that out there)
Now I see that you said you have a mixture of things going on in your drafts, how do you come up with your stories?

Jay: Thank you! And I come up with my stories literally just by a spur of the moment decision- I always have scenarios in my head and the series' that I've written before have all taken less than a day for me to come up with.. it's just what I have in my head and I build off of it. Very simple, it doesn't take a lot for me!!

Jo: Since you say your stories are spur of the moment, are some of the books you write based off real life experiences of your own?

Jay: I would say to a certain extent, yes- but mostly of what I WANT my real life experiences to be. I aspire to have a steamy and passionate relationship, as the couples in my novels do (Adora and Santiago especially). But a lot of the friends aspects in my books, yes, I base the friends off of friends I've had in the past, or have currently. So yes and no.
