Relationship Rules

Vivian woke up pinned under Pauly. She shook her head knowing he was doing it to help her, but she couldn't help to feel the need to feed her family. She sighed softly and laid back stroking Pauly's back as she slept with her head back against the soft pillow. She fell back to sleep and curled up in her bed sighing softly.

A while later Vivian groaned waking up to someone shaking her shoulder.

Mike: Viv get up. It's 1 in the afternoon and you need some food.

Vivian groaned but nodded her head as she mumbled waking up.

Mike: Get up, everyones out and about.

Vivian nodded against and started to get ready.

[Mike: I'm really struggling with the rules of a relationship and Viv's the best person to help me with this.]

Mike made Vivian a sandwich and waisted for her. She walked down the stairs and kissed his cheek as she sat down in a tshirt with some shorts eating the food. Mike sat with her sipping a water as he thought about what he should do. He looked down at the table then glanced over at Vivian not knowing how to ask her.

Vivian: What Mikey?

Mike: I just.....I'm having a hard time with Paula.

Vivian: What's hard?

Mike: I'm not used to relationship rules. I just....I was hoping that you would have some advice. I'm not fully used to a relationship and all the rules.

Vivian: It really depends on the couple really, but there are some basic guideline rules I can tell you. Other than those it's really up to you and Paula.

Mike: Anything is better than nothing. I'm iffy on this relationship but I still want to prove I can be in one. 

Vivian: Okay well the first is no flirting. It's not okay, never. Not even if you're just trying to get something free, no. It's a big no no. 

Mike: Okay no flirting.

Vivian: Be nice, even if she's mad. It will gain you tons of good guy points and you'll get places a lot further than if you were fighting with her. Or walk away and come back to it later. But that depends on the fight, pick your battles, that's how this goes. You have to learn to know what battles are worth the fight and what ones you just gotta step away from.

Mike: That sounds smart.

Vivian: Another rule, it's unspoken but I'm going to tell you because your you. You only commit to a relationship if you can see yourself treating her like a queen and wanting to marry her.

[Mike: Vivian is like the guru of relationships. That last thing she said though.....really has me thinking.]

Mike: Really?

Vivian: Yeah, it takes a couple tries but you'll find your girl, the one you want to treat like a queen.

Mike: I think I did....

Vivian: And it's not Paula is it?

Mike: No.....

Vivian: Do you know where she is?

Mike: I haven't seen her since my college years....

Vivian: Do you have any way to contact her?

Mike: No.

Vivian: Give me her name and I'll work some magic.

Mike: Really?!

Vivian: Yeah, you have changed yourself Mikey. I don't mind helping you find your queen.

Mike hugged Vivian tightly laying his head in her neck.

[Vivian: I love being able to help out Mike. He's proven himself to be capable of change, and this is something he's going to be doing a lot of to keep himself sober.]

Mike: I don't know how you handled me before all this. You're an angel.

Vivian: I'm just a girl helping her best friend.

Mike: I can't thank you enough Viv.

Vivian: No need to thank me.

Mike: I will and I'm going to make sure it's special.....wait....what about Paula?

Vivian: You're going to have to make that call. I can't help you with that.

Mike: You've done more than enough Viv. So is there anything you want to do today?

Vivian: Well after you get me that girls name I was thinking you and I could go down to the board walk and just hang out.

Mike: Anything for my best friend.

Vivian grinned and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. She then walked off to get her shoes. She pulled on a pair of shoes and walked off with Mike. They walked to the board walk and headed into the tshirt shop.

Pauly: There's my beautiful girl!

[Pauly: I love getting surprised by my girl at work. I honestly thought her and Mike were just going to have a best friend day at work.]

Pauly ran over and picked her up spinning her as he held her close kissing her. Vivian giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck as she leaned against him. Pauly put her down and stood with them Vinny walking over.

Vinny: Look who's finally up!

Vivian: Leave me alone.

Mike: I had to wake her she was still sleeping.

Pauly: Better she still be sleeping than up at 5 in the morning.

Vivian: It's a habit that's slowly breaking.

Pauly: Good because you're my queen and you are going to be spoiled.

Vivian: No.

Pauly: Too late. I got a special honeymoon planned after the show.

Vivian: No Pauly!

Pauly: Don't wine at me.

Danny: Okay, I know you two can't keep your hands off each other but don't distract them at work!

Vivian laughed and nodded. She kissed Pauly then kissed Vinny's cheek as they walked off. Vivian walked with Mike and they hung out having a good friend's day. The moved around the board walk doing random shit and talking to random people. Mike didn't know but Vivian was watching him hanging out with other girls that decided to come up and flirt and she was proud to see the Mike was being a good boyfriend.

[Vivian: I knew Mike would control himself. He's an amazing guy and I can't wait to help him find his queen. I got connections that will help us find her.]

Mike left the girls he was talking with and grabbed Vivian's hand dragging her over to them.

Mike: Viv, babe, tell them how I just proposed and can't hang out with them.

Vivian: Yeah. We just got engaged last night. It was the cutest thing. He proposed to me in front of all our friends and had a little slide show of our relationship playing, it was all perfect.

Mike kissed her temple and the girls stormed off.

Mike: Sorry, I know that was probably cheating but they wouldn't leave me be.

Vivian: Mikey you did the best thing possible. I will always be your fake girlfriend to help you with your relationship, that's what best friends are for.

[Mike: I really do owe Viv for so much! She's my best friend, my rock. This girl is going to stay in my life long after the shore is gone.]

Vivian walked over to the shore house with Mike. The sat around hanging out until the girls and Ronnie got home and they all sat around talking.
