Woman!
She whose womb is like the potter's wheel,
That moulds beautiful pottery for our national's future.
She who stands strong like Iroko,
Whose branches mock the wind by dancing to its tunes
Rather than breaking under its weight
Woman!
She is treasures not a trash.
A coral bead not a commodity brought.
A victor not a victim.
She should be appreciated not abused;
Celebrated not segregated,
dignified not despised;
Empowered not embittered, honoured not humiliated;
Influenced not intimidated, loved not loathed;
Nurtured not neglected, relished not raped.
Women!
She is the indispensable significant other
Who along with man balances the wheel on the world.
And it is time to better the balance for better world
By giving the values of woman to them that deserves it.
