Seamus Warren decided to help Jack's spirit next. He went up to him and asked what's wrong. Jack's spirit then explained, "Before I joined Ratbeard's crew, I worked for Captain Avery, but I was keeping a shameful secret. The Cutthroats were paying me to spy on him. They're up to something big, but I never learned what. The shame of my betrayal's too much; I can't rest till I know Avery is safe!" He then pointed to a nearby pool while he continued, "I used to meet the Sharks in a cave through that pool. I was due to meet them after brunch, but look how that turned out... Go in there and see if you can wring the plan out of 'em."
"I'll do my best, and so will my crew." Seamus promised the wharf rat ghost. Then he along with his crew went into the cave pool, and swam through the water tunnel into another cavern. "There's no sharks in here, Captain." Bonnie said as they examined the cavern, and Seamus then notices another water passage and suggests, "Maybe they're lurking down there. How long can anyone of you hold your breath?" Itzen Kaan then gets an idea, "Halach taught me a spell that can help us breathe underwater." Seamus gave it a little thought and then agrees to give it a try.
Kaan casts the spell on himself, then Seamus, Bonnie Anne, Frida, and Egg Shen. Emmett didn't need it because he's an otter (which he can also breathe underwater without the spell). They then went in the water tunnel and they encountered 5 crab crawlies (and one of them is bigger than the others). Seamus readied his shield and saber as the crawlies came at them. Bonnie shot at 3 of the crawlies with her signature power; Emmett then shot at one of them while Frida slashed her sword at a crawlie that Bonnie missed. Seamus, Egg, and Kaan slash and stab at the Humungous Crab until it got beaten. Next thing they know, the crawlies are finished off.
Suddenly, 4 Cutthroats appeared and one of them angrily says, "You ain't Jack! And you subdued Mister Buttersauce! Get'em, lads!" After a minute of fighting, the Cutthroat that spoke out from before says "You haven't won, the Plan has already begun - Skull Island will be ours again, like it should be!" "And what is this Plan of yours?" Seamus asks scoldingly. "We'll never tell!" The Cutthroat says menacingly.
"There are lots of Cutthroat ships out in the Skyway, Captain. If these blighters won't talk perhaps the others will. Let's go see, eh what?" Emmett suggested Seamus as they knocked out the Cutthroat. Then they decided to go by that suggestion, exited the water passage, and made their way back to The Leaky Bucket to battle some Cutthroat Ships.
Fortunately, Cutthroats are easily obligated to talk when their ships are destroyed, so The Leaky Bucket engaged one in broadside combat and destroyed it with its might and cannonballs. As the ship blew up, one of the Cutthroats (which is stuck in piles of floating boards) says "Alright! The plan is to do Avery in. When he's gone, Skull Island will fall!" Bonnie then says to Seamus in a distressed tone, "We've got to tell Avery, Captain. This is getting serious!"
Seamus agreed immediately and sailed back to Skull Island docks. He and his crew then hurried to Avery's mansion and entered. "Back so soon, Seamus? It's probably because Ratbeard betrayed us, isn't it?" Avery greeted. "Far from that, the Cutthroats are revolting!" Seamus answered hastily. "Revolting? Well, I don't like to be in the room when they're eating, but..." Avery then got interrupted by Frida who said, "No! We meant they want to overthrow you!"
"What? The Cutthroats want to overthrow me?" They nodded as Avery continues, "Bilgewater! They don't have the gumption! They also have no brains to run Skull Island either. Don't know the first thing about proper taxati- er, governance. I'm sure this is nothing. But still... after that business with Fin I can't be too careful. If this is that serious, go tell Mordekai about this and make sure he doubles the guard!"
Seamus nods at this, and he and his crew went to Buccaneer's Den to tell Mordekai about the plot. When they did, he felt very disturbed about this and says, "So, Jack betrayed us for the Cutthroats? I never liked the look of that Wharf Rat. I've seen this coming, but the old man won't believe we can't trust them. I've got a bad feeling about this. There's a secret dock off to the sewers under the Court. It's Avery's escape tunnel. I bet they plan to sneak in that way; I would. Go down there and reinforce the guards. You'll find it in between the Miracle Shack and Swashbuckler's Hall."
