|33| The end...

~Clary~

"Alec, I need to talk to you," I say while fidgeting with my fingers. "I know, that kiss was stupid and-" Alec says but I stop him. "-And I loved it," I say while taking Alec's hands. "You-you loved it?" He asks. "Yes, I did," I say while leaning in. Our lips touch and it's like fireworks all over again. He pulls back much to my dismay. "We can't, you're an Iron Sister and you can't be with someone," he says with a pained look in his eye. "Do you remember when I went away for a day?" I ask. "Yea, it was the day after you came back from Edom with Magnus," he says. "I went to the Citadel to remove my status as Iron Sister. Now I'm just Clary Morgenstern, the girl who came back and got a lot more than what she deserved," I say. "So, you're saying that you're just Clary, no sister involved?" he asks while looking at me with an emotion I can't quite grasp. "Yes," I whisper. After that, he pulls me to him and kisses me deeply, showing every emotion through the kiss. "Clary?" I hear a voice say. We jump apart and I hear Alec mutter under his breath, "What is it with us kissing and getting interrupted?"

I look up and I see Jace standing in the doorway of the library. "Alec, what is this?" he says bewildered. "This is me reading a book. What does it look like Jace?" he says. "B-but Clary, you-you kissed me!" he says with so much emotion it breaks my heart. "What?" I hear Alec say from beside me. "You heard him," I say bitterly. I look at the floor, ashamed of my actions. I should've never let Izzy give me advice! I scold myself. "Why?" I hear them both say. "Because I was struggling! My mind was so messed up, that I didn't think," I say while looking back up and seeing them staring at me. 

"Look, Jace. It was never going to work between us. We already tried that once and look where it got us. And Alec, I have feelings for you that I can't even explain, but it's the good kind," I say while looking at both of them. "You're right," I hear Jace whisper while he walks out of the library.

"Alec, I understand if you don't want to be with me," I say while looking down. "Look at me," he says while tilting my chin up with his finger. I slowly look at him and I see so much emotion in those electric eyes of him. "There's never going to be a time that I don't want to be with you. You're smart, sexy as hell and you can handle enemies without batting an eye," he says while leaning in once again. Our lips brush against each other and at that moment, I know where I am meant to be.

And that was it, ladies and gentlemen! This book is officially finished! I'm amazed that this book actually made it! You know, because of all the crap this book had to endure. But I'm happy with it. And that's what counts. I think I'm actually going to get killed for dragging this book out for so long. But damn, it was totally worth it! So BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! Without you guys, this would've never made it to the end.
