When I reached the table, the woman looked up at me then back down at her paper and wrote something down before looking up again. "Good luck, Katniss."

"Thanks." I walked to the rack and picked up a bow. I then picked up sheath of arrows and slung them over my shoulder. I walked over to the only target left and looked beside me to see Darius standing there. "Good luck."

"You too, Katniss." I thought I saw him smile, but I wasn't sure.

I turned back to my target board. After a few minutes I heard the woman at the table start reading out the instructions for the contest.

-"You're only allowed 12 arrows, once you're done, you're done.

-There are papers that read the amount of points each target is on the board.

-After you're finished go up to the target, count your points on the paper provided.

-Once your done counting your points, take your arrows and bows back to the rack and give me your points sheet to me at the table.

-The winner will be announced after the last person is finished and the prize is a loaf of bread for the winner's family.

That's the last rule and may the odds be ever in your favor."

She then rang a small bell on the table, indicating that we could now start, and sat back down.

I loaded my first arrow and aimed carefully before letting it go. It hit the middle target. My second arrow hit the middle target as well. I continued shooting, only concentrating on my shooting, until there weren't any arrows left in my sheath. I lowered my bow and walked to the target. Each target was marked with a paper that told you how many points you got, the further you hit away from the middle, the less points you go. I pulled out each arrow one by one, counting my points on the paper. My total points were 540 points. Most of the arrows were near the middle, with only a few being around the outside. I returned my bow and arrows to the rack, then walked over to the table and gave my paper to the woman, who looked at my score then looked at me. "You did great. I'm betting on you to win, Katniss."

"Thank you."

I walked over to where Peeta was standing. "You did really great."

"Thanks." After everyone had finished, it was time to announce the winner. Everyone waited expectantly to see who the winner was.

"And the winner, with 540 points, is Katniss Everdeen. Come over to the table and collect your prize."

I walked over to the table, picked up my loaf of bread and walked back to where Peeta, and now Darius were. Peeta looked a little nervous since Darius was there, even though he wasn't doing anything. "Don't worry. I had Darius promise not to bully us anymore."

"Yeah, that's right."

Peeta seemed to relax a little. "OK. That's good."

Darius turned to face me. "You actually did pretty good. Congratulations."

"Thanks."

"I was thinking that we could hang out sometime? Because now I'll definitely need you to teach me how to shoot."

"Sure. That sounds great."

"Good. Well, I'll see you tomorrow then."

"See you tomorrow." He walked away and Peeta and I were alone again. We started walking home and, despite his arguments not to, I gave him some of my bread.
