You stood beside Andrea, who kept a hand on your back as the walkers stopped leaving the barn, and the gunshots wore off. Shane wipped a hand across his forehead, removing the sweat that once lingered. Before you and your group got to clean up the walker bodies, one last snarl left the doors to the barn.
A shorter walker revealed themselves through the sunlight, making you gasp at the sight. The walker was a kid, and wore a blue rainbow shirt, with rolled up caramel jeans. Recognizing the dead figure as your sister, Sophia, you began to sob. Your mother ran forwards towards her child, but Daryl pulled her back so she couldn't get bit.
You cried for your sister that you hadn't seen in weeks, as Andrea pulled you into her waist in protective mode. Sophia was your best friend, and she was your blood. All of the times you helped Daryl look for her in the woods, she was in the barn.
