Zoe's POV

As the principal calls Evan and I in I see a look of panic cross the poor kid's face, and I feel bad for him.
Still, we're both incredibly confused as we walk into the office, and the principal leaves and shuts the door.
    Then I see him.
    "Connor," I grumble.
My older brother, Connor, sits in the principal's large swivel chair.
He has on his usual attire, black ripped jeans, a dark grey sweater, and combat boots. He has his hair tied up in a messy bun (all credit for his skill in that goes to me. I taught him).
"Hello," he smiles. "Are you not happy to see me, dear sister?" he fake pouts.
I glare at him. "Why did you call Evan and I here?"
"This," I notice him holding up a piece of paper and he begins to wave it around. "Evan, care to explain?"
Evan shakes his head and suddenly seems very interested in his shoes.
"Geez Connor, what is this all about?" I sigh with annoyance. "Seriously, what is this all about?"
He smirks. "I told you. This paper. That Evan wrote. It mentions you."
    "It, what?" I frown, confused.
"I..." Evan looks up and at me. I can see tears shining in his eyes, and I feel awful for him. Connor can be such a jerk sometimes.
"Evan, you can tell me." I say softly.
I don't really know him, but I know that he's a pretty lonely boy, and he's really sweet.
A few tears slip down his cheeks and fall to the carpet floor of the office.
"Evan, now," Connor says, obviously getting impatient.
"Fine," Evan looks to me. "Only if you leave though."
"Alright," Connor shrugs and stands up to leave.
As he's heading out of the room, he drops the paper on Evan's lap. "I'll be in my usual spot. Come get me when you're finished," he smirks and salutes as he closes the door.
I roll my eyes and turn to Evan. "What is it?" I ask, tilting my head slightly.
"I, um, I, well, well, uh, we-I, I wrote this, uh, this, this letter, a-and, um," he stutters.
"Woah, slow down," I laugh slightly to show that I'm not upset with him for whatever it is he has to say. "Just.. start from the beginning. Don't be scared."
Evan shakes his head. "I-I can't."
    "Why can't you?"
"I... I... I can't." I can see Evan getting more and more uncomfortable by the moment, his face growing red and his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. "I should go." he stands up and starts out of the room
"No no, don't-please don't go." I stand up quickly, grabbing onto Evan's arm. "Why was my name in your letter?" I ask gently as I lead him to sit back down.
Once we are seated again, Evan finally speaks. "Because I love you." He blurts. "I love you Zoe, and I've had a crush on you for years now."
I freeze, my mind going blank as Evan speaks. "You... what?"
