Jack looked up at the sky and sighed.

"Where are you, Snowflake?" He said softly and leaned on his staff. He pulled his hood up and stared at the moon. As always, Manny was silent. No reply. He had the strangest way of helping them.

Footsteps were heard and someone tapped his shoulder. Jack turned around to see Rapunzel and Hiccup scowling at each other.

"Jack," Rapunzel started in a Don't-you-agree-with-me? tone, "Wouldn't Jake take Elsa to a place she would like?"

Jack stared at her.

"Jake would like somewhere darker, he'd probably want to be in his strongest spot if he knows we're coming after him!" Hiccup argued back.

They both stared at Jack, waiting for his opinion to see which one of the suggestions made more sense. Kristoff, Merida and Anna made their way behind them, listening silently and smirking at how uncomfortable Jack looked.

"Maybe he'd choose both," Jack carelessly shrugged and turned away from the moon, twirling his staff in his hands and almost whacking Toothless with it. Both Rapunzel and Hiccup rolled their eyes at him.

An imaginary light bulb clicked on in Anna's head and she looked up excitedly, her blue eyes shining and making Kristoff involuntarily stare, "Actually...I think Jack's right!"

Hiccup, Rapunzel, Merida and even Kristoff said:

"He is?"

While also Jack looked surprised:

"I am?"

"Well, it'd make sense right? Jake would want to in his comfortable spot: Darkness. While he'd also want to make Elsa feel happy," Anna was practically shaking with excitement, a smile starched across her face.

"Wha' are ya sayin', lass?" Merida asked impatiently, standing up and preparing for action. Anna looked at her and smiled as if she had won a thousand chocolate boxes for being the smartest person in the world:

"What better place for them than a shadow of a mountain?"

...

Jake stroked her platinum blonde hair lovingly.

She was still unconscious. It seemed the darkness that he had ordered to bring her had overpowered her in fear. Maybe he shouldn't have sent such a powerful wave...

But, then again, he loved it when she was scared. When she has fear, to him, it was like feeding off a price off a piece of heaven. It was addicting. It was delicious.

And somehow he felt guilty at the same time. He didn't like her frowning and shaking in fear. That meant she wasn't smiling. And how badly he wanted to see her smile...at him.

Suddenly, she whimpered.

Jake sat up and leaned forward, watching as she awoke. She sat up on her elbows and blinked up at him, her blue eyes confused but entrancing to him.

"What the..?" She gave a small, elegant yawn and blinked, looking around, "where am I?"

He took her hand as she realized that she was in her ice castle, "Good evening, Star. You look beautiful, as usual."

She moved so quick, Jake barely had time to react. Her hand shot up and a very sharp icicle erupted from her palm and aimed at his shoulder. He managed to move away in time, the dagger-like icicle missing him by inches.

But while he was distracted by the icicle, she managed to punch him in the face.

"Ow!" Jake ignored the pain and held her wrists as she tried to swing another punch, "Calm down, Star."
