I heard whispers coming from the bush, telling me to embrace myself for what was coming ahead.

When I saw a shadow move, a sense of fear overcame me.
I had warned you to run but instead you looked at me calmly, causing me to stand there puzzled and frustrated.

But then you grabbed my hand, assuring me that we would be okay and I believed that little white lie you told.

We made our way to a clearing and that creature was nowhere to be seen now.
Just as the sound of relief escaped my breath,I heard the sound of you stumble and scream.

Panic arose in me and I ran away as fast as I could, tears building in my eyes. I could't accept that you were gone.

But then finally I stopped running,I was tired and slowly memories of us started fading.
Yet to this day, still, I curse the behemoth that took you away from me.
