The sun rays were emitting through the window of your room. You groaned and slightly awake and stretched your arms with a big yawn. You pushed the blanket away and looked out the window, seeing the sun shine with all it's glory. It is a sunny day. Then you took your clothes from the other day and changed. Once you were done, you looked at Ryder's family picture again.
"Maybe i should ask him...But i'm not sure, he might get angry, if he finds out, i was snooping around in his room.", you asked in your thoughts.
Just before you could think anymore, you hear the door to your room open, revealing Ryder in his normal attire.
"Morning, Y/N. How did you sleep?", Ryder asked in a friendly tone.
"Beautiful, i never slept better before...", you pointed out, feeling energized by that good sleep you had.
"Really? Cool. I'm glad that you felt comfortable.", Ryder said happily, pleased to hear that you slept well.
You didn't want to intrude, but you really wanted to ask him about his past and what happened to him...but you couldn't, it is his secret and maybe, when the time is right, he will tell you...for now, you need to stay patient.
Ryder noticed your uneasiness and worried slightly.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, i'm fine. I'm just bored...Being on the run from the zombies isn't really fun, you know?, you said jokingly. Ryder giggled at that sentence.
"True enough, so how about we do something fun today? It's a sunny day and i'm sure the zombies won't bug us today....atleast until nighttime arrives."
"Sounds good to me. Something on your mind?", you asked him, feeling excited to do something fun again after so long time, you never had fun anymore since your family died, this was a good opportunity to bring the joy back that was missing in your life.
"Maybe we could drive to a forest and take a walk there together...", Ryder said.
"That would be nice, i would love to see nature again. There is none in this broken city..."
"Exactly, so....shall we go?"
"Yes, let's go."
While leaving the house the feeling of uneasiness returned, but not because of his past concerning you, it was about the affection you started to gain for him. It was weird, since you don't really know him that much by now and that it would be ridiculous to fall in love now, if you didn't get to know him first. So you have set yourself a task...Once the two of you reach the forest, you would start a conversation with him about his life...maybe that way you can talk about his past with him.
Ryders POV
I noticed that Y/N was feeling kinda uncomfortable, when we left the house. Maybe she is still worked up over yesterday...or does she worry about something else? Maybe i will find it out later, when we reach the forest. For now, i need to concentrate on my driving.
Your POV
You were now driving with Ryder to the forest on his motorcycle...While you were driving, you couldn't stop thinking about him. He saved you yesterday and you still can't forget it...It really feels like, as if you feel devoted to him for saving your life. Besides, you still had to figure out about his past. Something in your heart tells you, that you need to know...You are sure, that he could also have a dark past and when he shares it with you, you could help him get over it, just like he would do the same for you over the loss of your family. You wanted to repay him for your rescue. But you didn't exactly know, how you should do that. With a troubled mind you shrugged it off and saw the forest in a seeable distance. Ryder pulled up into a parking space.
