Ever since the day we met, he has been my savior. If ever there was trouble on the horizon, or something that needed to be done, it was he who took care of it. I never imagined that placing such trust in a demon was possible, but it seemed to happen almost instinctively, as if he really wouldn't double-cross me, despite what he was. He made his mark on me with the forming of our contract, and from then on, he has rescued me time and time again: from my enemies, from the world, from myself. I love my parents, but, I must admit that he is the only one who has never left me, not once. There has not been a single day when I didn't wake up to his smiling face and his wonderful breakfast. During the day, he is always at my side, prepared to do my bidding. And at night, when my duty as the Queen's guard dog must be fulfilled, not a drop of my blood is spilt. That is his resolve - excellency, readiness, perfection. He is quick and sharp, never missing a beat. His is always willing to protect me, no matter the cost. This is why he is my most valuable pawn - he can do anything. I should have known then that my fate would fall into the hands of that monster. He'd had his eye on my for quite some time. I should have known he would become my partner in crime, battling my enemies as if they were his own. He is the one I can depend on, the only one who won't betray me. It's always him. - ♝
