Pedicure

When I get pedicures, I get them frequently, in succession. I get a pedicure about once a month. It's one of my many guilty pleasures. It's up there with watching friends react to Grimes and eating a tub of Blue Bell coffee ice cream in one sitting.

Today, I looked at my budget while the woman massaged my calfs. I'm spending too much money on food. I tried eating out less, using Pierre as the friend who cooks my meals. After one failed attempt at a pasta-soup dish, we've gone back to eating out. She's a great cook but we both like the simplicity of eating out. It cost more but there's less stress that comes with it.

As she sets my feet in plastic bags of orange goo, wraps my legs in a jade paste and hot towels, I think of other ways I can save money. I could go back to eating at my neighborhood cafeteria. It would be inconvenient because of their hours of operation, but it's so cheap, it's hard to pass up.

I'd like a facial massage. The cooling sensation I'm feeling in my lower body is too hard to pass up on my face. Would that be good for my skin?
