Jack's lungs filled with air. His eyes opened in a flash, the light flooding in. He felt Rapunzel's hand and gripped it tightly. "Good... It was all just... A..." He saw her motionless.

Everyone was crying and hugging. "We're sorry, Jack." Kristoff kneeled down next to him.

Elsa was alone, sitting on a rock. She was the most upset out of anyone. "My cousin... Is dead..." She kept repeating. Her heart pounded.

Jack went over to her and put his hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry. If I knew she was going to do this, I would've stopped her."

-

The sun rose. It shined directly on the lifeless body that belonged to Rapunzel. The others had left. Flowers were laid all around her, and some were in her hands.

Pitch came back to examine everyone. He thought they were dead. When he only saw Rapunzel, he became angry. "Those darn teenagers! So stupid. They don't know what I'm really capable of."

He gritted his teeth and reached down, touching Rapunzel. "Hello, Flower." His smile spread.

A dark shadow formed around the two of them. She began coughing. Pitch moved back. The flowers around her wilted.

A dark laugh echoed.

-

Jack screamed as he started freezing his room. "Why was I such an idiot!"

Elsa knocked, then opened the door. "Um, hey, you okay?"

He turned to her, his face really pale. "Not at all..."

She hugged him. "I know... It's hard for me too. But everything will be alright... I promise."

He smiled slightly. "Elsa, I need to tell you something that I haven't said for a while. I love you."

He leaned in and they kissed. Her warm lips made him get a good sensation.

And just for that one moment, during their short and sweet kiss, everything seemed alright.

If only things could stay that way.
