It's you and I, I told the moon.

When you're behind the clouds,
out of sight,
I'll swoon over the moonlight,
that spreads and radiates.
You are smiling.
I'm certain.
I'll watch you travel in the sky.
I'll see you coming and fading
behind the curtain,
they call the cloudy sky.

I muse over our company.
The stars twinkle in symphony
And the clouds join the harmony.
It's you and I, through the night.
The dark sky, is in my plain sight.
I see the clouds,
I can see the stars.
I feel a soft breeze blowing.
I see everything but your ashen face.
I can't see your shining grace.
Perhaps, in another dimension.
In another part of the sky,
I'll see you smiling.
For now,
It's still the night.
The moonlight still lights my path,
when darkness tends to spread it's wrath
And demons try to take over.
Though you don't hover,
But it still guides -
The moonlight.
