"I miss you?" Hyunjin read the first message Changbin sent. Curiosity laced into his thoughts. "Why would he need to send that in binary code?"

A soft sigh left his lips before he copied the next message and plugged it into the website:

"Sorry?" Hyunjin questioned, guilt slowly building up in his stomach. For some reason, he felt as if the next messages would be more personal.

"It's for the best?" Hyunjin read the next decoded message. "Why? Why is it best for me to find out myself?"

The messages hurt his head, however, he continued to decode each coded message Changbin sent.

: I miss your voice.

A frown takes over Hyunjin's countenance as he read the decoded message.

"We could meet up or he could have called me," Hyunjin mumbled to himself.

: sorry, to bother you so early in the morning but I can't get you off my mind

Hyunjin gasped softly, taken aback by the message. He knew Changbin use to have a crush on him, however, Hyunjin did not know that the male was still crushing on him. It had been six months since their last meet up at the park, meaning eight months since they graduated from high school.

: I can't stop thinking about that day

"Me too, Changbin, me too," Hyunjin mumbled as he read the message.

And the brunette was telling the truth⎯ever since that day at the park, all he can think about was how it all happened. He remembered every last detail; remembering every little thing they did and the emotions he went through. The brunette remembered how soft Changbin's lips were against his and how he secretly wanted to feel them against his own once again.

However, he also remembered how he treated Changbin once their lips met. Hyunjin remembered how he just pushed his best friend away as the older male cried his eyes out. That memory hurt him the most cause he knew he could never take back what he did. What was done was done, and unfortunately, he can never change that. The brunette had to live with the guilt that he hurt his dear friend.

And that guilt was the sole reason he felt the need to lock his feelings away⎯his feelings for Changbin. Yes, the older male had a crush on Hyunjin; however, the brunette felt that he himself did not deserve Changbin's feeling. He believed he doesn't deserve to feel happy whenever he received a message from the other, or whenever they accidentally touch, or whenever the older male was around him in general.

Of course, these feelings only formed after that incident at the park. Only after he treated his best friend with such disrespect.

Hyunjin felt like Changbin deserved someone better. Someone who would never push the said male away, who would cherish him all the time, who would treat him correctly⎯unlike how he did that day at the park.

Yes, Hyunjin remembered how he also hugged his crying friend, attempting to comfort the male. But, what happened before that still occurred and was always fresh in Hyunjin's mind.

He could never bring himself to allow his feelings for Changbin to grow⎯but that is exactly what happened.

No matter what Hyunjin did, his feelings for Changbin never ceased to exist. He missed Changbin every day but chose to ignore his feelings. He knew Changbin deserved someone so much better than himself.
