I remember when I first had laid my eyes on her. It was one of the first best days of my life. All of the previous ones were just warm ups.

She was my movie nerd. And I was hers.

Being the Alpha of one of the strongest and largest packs isn't worth it if you aren't fighting for someone in particular. Yes you have all of these people at your side waiting for the next command. But they can't comfort me the way she did.

With out her I felt like half of a whole. A pack is better ran with a Luna in it if we are all being honest with ourselves.

She was sensible, kind, and brave. Sometimes a little too brave. With out a doubt she was the love of my life and that isn't the mate bond talking.

Even before we were mates I always seemed to notice her.

Flash back into his childhood

I was trying to sleep in for the first in what felt like ages. But according to my father, today or any other day was not the day to sleep in. My father had wanted me to help get ready for tonight's celebration.

Which is basically the whole pack surrounding this huge fire pit. There was food and drinks there, nonalcoholic. We were celebrating my dads success in defeating Vinny Richardson, the Alpha of the Harpy pack. My father has always been a good alpha and hopefully some day I can become just as good as an alpha as him.

My mother came into my room to wake me up and got me started for the day. My mom is also a good Luna. She is very caring and selfless it seems. My dad is lucky to have her. My parents seem to fit together perfectly even though they're nothing alike.

Several long frustrating hours later was the beginning of the celebration. I wanted to ditch it to sleep but as the alphas son I cant miss out on it. So basically I just hung out with my mom and my five year old sister Bella. Bella and I are eight years apart which makes me thirteen.

As the night went along I started to get restless. So I started walking around, watching everyone laugh and enjoy everyone's company.

My eyes ran into this one girl. She was so pretty, which is saying a lot cause girls are gross. She had messy hair though. She was sleeping on which looked like her dad's shoulder. I don't know her name, cause she's one of the lower normal wolves of the pack. Plus I'm not the alpha so it's not a requirement. She began to wake up and caught me staring so I walked away and ignored her for the rest of the night.

I caught back up with my mom and helped her clean up. Mid-cleaning I found a bench and passed out. I woke up to my dad carrying me to my bed.

All I can remember after that was him telling me good job and he's proud of how I helped my mom. Which made me smile unconditionally.
