I look out the door and see people jumping onto a building. It was at least a yard. I think to myself are these people crazy! Then I realize, yeah they are.
Uriah and I back up to jump. 1... 2... 3! We both ran and jumped at the same time. I landed and rolled. Uriah landed on his feet. He looks at me with those beautiful blue eyes and helps me up.
"Thank you," I say cautiously. is didn't know dauntless had any selflessness in them at all.
"No prob," he says casually as if it were nothing.
I walk over to Chris. Then a man tells us to be quiet.
"I am a dauntless leader. My name is Eric, to join Dauntless you have to jump," the man says.
"Jump down there??," some other transfer says.
"Are you Dauntless or not, yes down there," Eric says.
I think to myself, how would they have new members if they died jumping. I walk up to the ledge and trust fall backwards into the hole.
I feel breathless as I fall. then suddenly a net catches me. A hand pulls me off the net and onto the ground.
"My name is Lauren," she says, "Welcome to Dauntless."
