You were unsure about the results from the pregnancy tests, so, as Namjoon was still out, you called the local hospital. An appointment was made for tomorrow, 10 in the morning. A time when Namjoon would be at rehearsals. Retrieving the tests from the bathroom, you stored them away in your bedside dresser.
"Hae! Where are you? I have the ice cream!" Namjoon called. You exit from the bedroom, greeting Namjoon by the door "Ice cream!" You cheered. Exchanging a kiss for the ice cream you bring the ice cream into the kitchen, in search for a spoon "Found you." Grabbing an extra spoon for Namjoon, you returned to the living room. He was sat on the couch, ice cream on his chest "Awe thanks, you got me a spoon." He thanked. You hand him the spoon before sitting down next to him. Opening your own container, you picked up your spoon, and scooped it into the cream, then bringing it to your lips.
Namjoon grabs the remote "Anything specific?" "Not another damn show about nature." You replied. "Oh. They have old variety shows. How about that Hae?" Namjoon offered. You nodded in agreement.
Hae spoons more ice cream into her mouth, spitting some out after a particular funny scene. "How do you manage to get ice cream on your tummy? You are my beautiful clumsy wife Hae." Namjoon giggles. Namjoon pulls out a napkin from next to him, and runs it over her stomach. Hae watched Namjoon. Right under his fingertips is a beating heartbeat of his child. "I think all the shirt needs is to be washed. It will be fine as dandy." "Thank you Joonie. We appreciate you." You look into his eyes, worrying he heard your 'we' comment. "You are welcome. Oh, also, Hae, I remembered we have rehearsal tomorrow. So you will be home alone." "Oh, that's fine. I have some errands to run tomorrow." "Is everything okay? What kind of errands?" "None That should worry you." Hae pats his cheek.
Hae kisses Namjoon goodbye as he left for rehearsal "I will see you tonight." Namjoon says. "Be careful when doing your errands." "And you be careful while doing rehearsals. Do not overwork yourself, or anyone else." Hae warned. "See you tonight babe." Namjoon kisses Hae's cheek.
At ten o'clock, Hae was called into the back of the office. The nurse, Eun, took her measurements. Then lead Hae into another room "The Doctor will be with you in a moment. Please lay down and get comfortable." She was instructed. Hae laid down on her back, fingers tapping against her stomach with nervousness. "Are you decent?" "Come in." Hae says. The door opened showing a man "Hello, I am Doctor Ju." You shake his hand. "Now from your chart, it says that you think you are pregnant. Is that correct?" "Yes, that is correct. I took two at home testers, both coming back positive." Hae tells. "Let's take a look then. This gel will be cold." I am warned. The coolness from the gel makes me jolt. "Look over at the monitor." Hae looks over at the monitor. "And oh right there. That is your baby. It seems you are approximately six weeks along." "That is the baby? The baby is so small." "About the size of a poppy seed. But heed my advice, and the baby will grow until it is time for you to deliver." "Does the baby look okay? Should I be worried?" Hae worries. "The risk is still there, it is not until twelve weeks where the pregnancy is considered non threatening." Doctor Ju commented. Hae listens intently, listening to every word she was being told. With the confirmation from Doctor Ju, Hae retreated back home. Her ultrasound rested inside of her purse, wanting to be shown to her husband.
"Hae! Babe, hi." Namjoon greeted her by the door. "Joon? I thought you had rehearsal today." "I did, we did. But it was canceled. So, today is all about my beautiful wife." Hae smiles "I have an announcement to make." She says. "An announcement? And what would the announcement be?" Hae fishes out the ultrasound from her purse "I am pregnant Joonie!" She turns around, the ultrasound held in front of her stomach. "My baby is inside of your right now?" Namjoon pointed. "Yeah." Hae whispers. "Our baby. This is our baby." Namjoon takes Hae's hands, pulling her to the couch. He squats between her legs, hands smoothing out the fabric of her shirt "Mini me." Was all Namjoon said. "Mini you." Hae repeated.
