in our picture,
you'd see paint swirls
of the pain
we're trying to heal
but also of the love
that never leaves my eyes
when you're aroundthere would be abstract pieces
that show just how
your eyes look under the sunlight
watercolors would depict
the tears you kissed
away from my skineven the best painters
wouldn't be able to capture
the sparkle of your smile
or the twinkle in your laughter
but i'd look on and think, "we're beautiful"
anyway- if they hung us in the louvre
