INTRODUCTION

welcome to the eminence awards!

this is a poetry contest book where i will have smaller single poem prompt contests lasting a week. i will also have longer full poetry book contests, but i'm not sure if i will only do one a year or multiple.

in case you were wondering, here's the reason this is called the eminence awards. as you can see from my account, my aesthetic is almost completely purple. my mother died when i was 10 (6 years ago) and her favorite color was purple. it's also my favorite color. eminence was our favorite shade of purple. she taught me to always act as if i were royalty. keep my head high and walk like i ruled the ground underneath my feet. that's the only reason i can fake confidence when i don't have it, but i'm mostly a confident girl.

i wanted to combine my love of poetry (which i hope my mom would be proud of) and our love of purple to create these awards.
